As with their A Level counterparts, Portadown College students have done themselves proud in securing a superb set of outcomes at GCSE. Across an outstanding GCSE profile, an impressive 51% of all grades awarded were at A* – A, with 82% of grades at A* – B.
Principal Gillian Gibb commented: “The College community is delighted that the industry, resilience and ability of our young people have been justly recognised in a superb set of GCSE results. Despite the uncertainty and challenges of the past few months, it is very gratifying to know that our young people have received the grades they worked so diligently to attain. The GCSE class of 2020 should be proud of their collective success and individual achievements.
I wish to pay tribute to our dedicated teaching and support staff, alongside the invaluable encouragement of our parents and carers, for their contribution to such positive outcomes.
On behalf of the College Governors and staff, may I extend every best wish to our students as they commence the next chapter of their education.
