As part of Holocaust Memorial Day Portadown College GCSE History students were invited by the Holocaust Educational Trust to attend a live webcast with a survivor of the Holocaust.
Eve Hugler gave an unforgettable testimony of what it was like for a 10 year old Jew fleeing from the Nazis. She told the remarkable story of how her and her sister escaped the concentrations camps by travelling across Europe to reach America.
Her story inspired us to follow the mantra “Be the light in the Darkness”, each of us has a responsibility to better society. A copy of her book, Shattered Crystals can be found, free of charge, on the internet.
