We were delighted to welcome former student Jamie Robinson as our guest at the PC Business Club in February.
Jamie is one of the top referees in the Irish premiership, as well as being on the FIFA list for the sixth year in a row.
In 2023, along with his business partner, he acquired a company called “Touchline Flags”, which supplies hi-tec flags to referees and assistants to both the Premier League in England and several other leagues in Europe.
Students were given an insight into both his challenges and highlights as a referee – including taking charge of matches in 48 different European countries, as well as refereeing the Irish Cup final last year. In addition, he was asked about how he was able to buy Touchline Flags, the costs involved and how he is seeking to grow the business.
This was a highly enjoyable, entertaining and informative time. It is great to share in the success of one of our former students and will hopefully inspire our current pupils.
