Portadown College Preparatory Department
The Preparatory Department of Portadown College was first established in 1922 in Cartan Street under the tutelage of Miss Montgomery ‘for the daughters of genteel folk’.
In 1947, the Preparatory Department of Portadown College moved to Killicomaine Road under Miss Mark.
Mr Ken Turner took the reins as Principal in 1964 until his retirement in 1990, when Mrs Ruth McKinley took over the leadership until the closure of the Preparatory Department in 2006.
