There is an annual school play and all years are invited to take part – either on stage or behind the scenes. There are, of course, parts for actors but we also need people to help with stage management, costume, set design, set painting, hair & make-up, sound & lighting, multi-media effects, ticket sales and many aspects of front of house.
The PC Dramatic Society has performed a wide range of plays in recent years including: Alone It Stands, Dancing at Lughnasa, Hobson’s Choice, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Our Town, The 39 Steps, Daisy Pulls It Off, Jane Eyre and Juno and the Paycock.
The play for 2023 is Agatha Christie’s popular Murder on the Orient Express.
The school play is a good way for any student, regardless of interests or abilities, to get involved in school life, make friends from other years and have fun as well as build confidence and add to their profile.
